Big day in the Duchy. Google has mixed the picture order up , don’t know why!
Saturday VWC , great company and photos of projects. First for Model Railway photos this week- PD Hancock’s layout or rather part of it.Overnight Friday to Saturday my toilet ceased to function, wouldn’t flush , so stressful. It was in backed up in the garden.
Three men working late morning to sort it, successfully thankfully.
Buying the Christmas tree, not a visit to Narnia.
Working on WW2 Swiss during the VWC. Note very nice models of Panzer 39 tanks.
Late afternoon and my daughter fits the lights on the tree , looks magical imho.
Another view of the Swiss, mainly commercial resin prints with a few metal additions.
Finally curry and Strictly final. A big day of highs and lows…

Well that was a busy day! Nice way to end it too. You could see what a competitor Karen is. Didn’t realise it’s so long since she stopped playing and she clearly misses the competition and camaraderie. All the best.

I was pleased she won as were the others in the photo. It was indeed a good end to the day.

A day well spent especially with a functioning toilet! I did not realize you painted while watching VWC.
ReplyDeleteStarted painting during it and it works well for me . It helps if one’s enthusiasm is flagging…

Great day in the Duchy indeed. Your Swiss project reminds me about those WW2 Elastolin Swiss soldiers I saw at Galleria Baumgartner this October. It's a small world though, as we met the friendly managers of Galleria Baumgartner at the Model Expo exhibition in Milan the following weekend too. Interesting concept with VWC. So, model railways are OK there too? Interesting screenshot of the layout with standard and narrow gauge on the same layout. Looks like you're ready for the Holidays.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Alan.
I recall your Elastolin photos with great affection. We are just starting to show photos from model railway shows.

Looks a great day despite the plumbing problems! Swiss look nice, and those tanks - but who are they going to fight? Which protagonist do you think will rashly invade, hoping to get the Zurich gold reserves? And will that draw in the other side? (Italian mountain troops might be fun?) We shall see, no doubt...
ReplyDeleteRailway models were lovely but I think Alan T's Kingdom of Wittenburg is as good!
Wittenburg is an ongoing joy. Watch this space for Swiss allies and enemies…
