Finding and shedding

My eldest and fiance at last night’s celebratory meal. Daughter number two excelled herself with cooking and cake. Zoe and Angus have found each other.
Result of shedding ( the art of digging in the lead mountain to downsize it but finding an interesting project to do instead) yesterday. Late Bronze Age Scandanavian 28mm!!
I wondered where they had gone…

Reading outdoors this morning and having found a beautiful book, a retelling of the Arthurian tales.
Newly published, beautifully written and illustrated.
Well , worth “finding “ for yourself or as a gift for a loved one. Don’t miss out, read.

  1. Intriguing Falcon Miniatures packet in among the Foundry!
I have many from that range as they used to be a regular on the show circuit. I heard the owner Barry Hill? had died not that long ago.
    Congrats on the nuptials.

    1. I had lots of Falcon Miniatures at one time, ancients and 1790s Russians and Swedes in Potemkin uniforms. They were great 15s imho. The reason the FM packet is there amongst the 28s is that I was intending to use it as a sacred ritual chariots with addition of a sun disc to be carried into battle/ fought over. Baggage train and/or marker to show something to be got for victory points in a scenario.
      Thanks.

  4. I casually follow Malcolm Guite's YouTube channel and have been attracted to the purchase of "Galahad and the Grail", but haven't "pulled the trigger" on that buy. It does seem to be a very attractive edition.

    1. It is a splendid You Tube channel, one I really enjoy. Well worth getting the book , it stands out in quality and is a lovely addition to one’s library.

  5. I desperately need to dig through my piles and reduce things quite a bit. Retirement has not been the time boon that I unrealistically hoped for. 🤣
