You could draw a ...How about a colonial expedition? You could draw a map with some random islands and continents and your European powers set off on a little empire building.
You can draw up charts that decide the composition of the natives and their attitude. For example, do they allow your power to set up a base, greet it with hostility, worship the newcomers as gods, contribute native troops etc?
Meanwhile the rival power/s are sending their own expeditions. Do they try to colonise the same lands. Are the lands carved up? Does a war result? What do the natives do?
You can decide a lot of this stuff by dice rolls before even getting to setting up actual battles. You can do this with a pal or as a solo activity.
I'm thinking of doing the same for my Renaissance era imagi-nations. I go further and roll dice to decide levels of development which may be from stone age to medieval.
For your natives you can use African tribesmen, American Indians, Aztecs, Asiatic etc etc.Quantrilltoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03824237942276969880noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4798056059089761235.post-32487844773863811282021-05-17T18:38:37.024+01:002021-05-17T18:38:37.024+01:00I would love to see more pictures from Semi Flat A...I would love to see more pictures from Semi Flat Africa. Those have always been fun to see and inspiring! I’m also a sucker for medievals! But really, whatever you find fun, play. Maybe an ancients battle based directly on a Biblical text, so you know what the enemy is going to do!
