I don't normally recommend books, but this is a real 'Back of Beyond' classic - it's FARAWAY CAMPAIGN, by F. James, Leonaur Books, a 2007 reprint. There's no date for first publication, but it is probably sometime in the 1920s. I read them years and years ago- strange you ...Matt<br />I read them years and years ago- strange you should mention them as I have been seriously considering rereading them of late- I nearly bought the 1848ish one over the hols. I down sized houses 16 or so years ago and got rid of around 1000 plus books (at the time) to a huge charity book sale held every year in Edinburgh. Difficult decesions had to be made about what to keep and what to give away.
