When I was gaming the other week with Ronnie C I was most taken with the basing method he used. So l decided to copy it myself. First stick Mdf bases onto felt, cut out when dry and attach figures. I wasn’t patient enough to wait until my Auld Reekie Rabble were finished so laid them out on the bases I had prepared earlier. I was pleased with the look, simple, clean lines and elegant.

RBGE
We are so lucky having these fantastic gardens in Edinburgh- Know as the Botanics. I have been coming here all my life. It is a special place which seems infinitely bigger than its actual size. Monday saw a birthday picnic there and my first visit since Covid began. The sun shone.

Beyond the fields we know *
Twenty five years ago l had a table tennis table set up for gaming , nothing fancy but a surface. I then downsized , the table travelled with us and has never been set up since. It probably will never be and frankly l am not interested in having a set up that big even if I had the space which l don’t.

Go West 2
Although Edinburgh born and bred l have always enjoyed visiting Glasgow. I love Edinburgh but Glasgow always had a wee exciting edge for me. For one year we lived in a satellite of the City and we were in and out of it quite a bit. In my late teens and twenties l was often seeing friends in the West. So it was great on Thursday to be back partly to see my youngest’s new rented flat and partly for a wander.
I took photos of the Stair she lives in and also of buildings in the City I passed by. I have always enjoyed buildings and architecture with Glasgow supplying many examples to take in.
