A question of flags...
Evening all ! I wonder if I can trouble you for a minute? Can you pop over to my other blog and vote on which flag design you prefer. You will find the poll at http://armyredwhite.blogspot.com/
Many thanks
Alan
I prefer the idea of the town's heraldic device in a canton. This particular one seems to have been Gules, a bend Argent, which perhaps doesn't quite distinguish itself from the Gules and Argent of the rest of the flag, as much as would the devices of other towns that have differnt colours/metals.
I did wonder anout some sort of bordure around the canton, but on second thought, I like it the way it is.
Having had a second look, might I suggest that the city device be made a little smaller so that the canton (argent) be visible all round the shield. It would show up better as whay it is intended to be. You might find that will look just a little bit ... nicer... Cheers, Ion

I have commented on your "other" blog and I have to say the one with the writing.
ReplyDeleteI like the town's heraldic device in a canton but somehow i think the writing is more fitting for the period.
ReplyDeleteDon't ask me why though :)
