Uber Old School - an update

Remember the above? I had the following email today-

"Dear Mr. Gruber,
I will try to translate the rules in English. It will take some time, perhaps we publish the rules in the Zinnlaube.
You must be patient for a while!
Thank You for Your understanding.

It is great that a member of the group will be willing to do this for me .Further details will be posted when I hear more...

    How very kind of Mr Czeguhn to offer to translate his rules into English. I am sure that I am not alone in looking forward to seeing them in print ... and possibly even using them.

    Indeed Bob! They are not his rules as Karl posted as a comment on my earlier post-
    They are a group of toy collectors from Germany. I contacted them through their website and got a very friendly response. The game they play on the pictures is called "Jung-Deutschlands Schlachtenspiel" and was produced by the toy company Hausser in 1920.

    The more I see of this wargame, the more I see similarities to the original POLEMOS rules, Joseph Morschauser's grid wargame rules, and my own Portable Wargame rules.
