Tuesday would have seen me married 25 years. I decided to get a book to celebrate the day-
It was chosen for a number of reasons- I had been in the area on holiday with my parents and recall hearing part of the story from the tour guide, Jan and I had planned/hoped to walk in the area on holiday together and finally I recall having some Suvorov Hinchcliffe Russians many moons ago.
I am so glad that at least part of you feels this is a day worth celebrating. I know it was a hard day for you. Blessings, MP
ReplyDeleteIn one of my books somewhere there is an exciting colour plate showing Suvorov's grenadiers fighting the French on what looks like the set of The Desolation of Smaug. Too amazing for words.
Tradgardmastare,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to turn what could have been a painful anniversary into something that is less so ... and I am sure that Jan would have approved of both the book and the reasons why you bought it.
All the best,
Bob
I can't say it better than Michael or Bob. I think that was a good choice and a great way to celebrate the day.
ReplyDeleteA good way to celebrate the day, indeed.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for sharing this with us... I think it's quite brave. I'm happy to hear that your finding a good way to mark your anniversary.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a really good book too... It looks like it's gotten some great reviews. Maybe it will inspire you to do a walking tour.
