I am looking for suggestions for names and/or titles for them. All I have come up with is General Carre- Fisher and General Temps- Perdu, not good I am more than happy to acknowledge. Do have a think and leave your suggestions here. Thanks in advance.

ReplyDeleteOne of them looks like the Irish-Walloon, the Comte de Moules-Frites et Mayo.
ReplyDeleteInspiration of course from the Duc de Pommes-Frites in Carry On Don’t Lose Your Head.
I like nundanket's suggestion. It looks like the other chap might be the Marquis de Sacre Bleu. Cheers Greg
ReplyDeleteNow, if only one was a cavalry commander then I could help.
ReplyDeleteJacques-Pierre, the Comte de Monay, Marquis de Theatre-Fronte and his valet/body-guard, Mel.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that Marshal Roland Gaross standing next to the cinq etoile General Guido Michelin ?
ReplyDeleteGeneral Plumb and General Orange - rememberable and pronouncable- sorry about the spelling.
ReplyDeleteMonsieur Halte et le duc de Tranquil.
ReplyDeleteNo specific suggestions but fun to take a contrived name in English and 'translate' approximately into the relevant language? It works for me!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite gaming character names however are (i) David Crook's ACW commander Kyle E. Minogue and (ii) Charles Grant's imagi-nation had a Scottish mercenary acting as Public Executioner, who was called MacArbre...
General:- Grabuge (Mayhem), Gaffe (Blunder), Gaffeur (Blunderer) or even General Fubar and General Snafu?
ReplyDeleteCount de Monet...
ReplyDeleteDuc Du Bonnet
:)
Count de Money πππ
DeleteMaybe a generation earlier incarnation of Le Comte de Frou Frou https://blackadder.fandom.com/wiki/Le_Comte_de_Frou_Frou
