Albion Pathe News presents Manoeuvres 1933

“ With visitors from far and wide coming to observe our Albion boys on manoeuvres this week, it would take more than torrential rain to stop the show. The Volare Cantare Air Attaché remain a dapper chap in all  weathers..

  1. As a WW2 re-enactor, we sometimes watch the old Pathe newsreels, particularly for those of us who portray Commonwealth Soldiers, to get a sense of context and place for the late 1930s and 1940s.

Look forward to see where this is going.

    1. Interesting. I sold ticket , helped out at our local Defend Fife gathering with reenactors, local historians etc etc. Sadly it was cancelled this year. Where I live there were lots of Polish troops stationed and there are fascinating plans which have survived showing how to defend the town.

  3. Those gas capes remind me of the driver statue on the Royal Artillery Memorial at Hyde Park by Charles Sergeant Jagger https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Artillery_Memorial#/media/File%3AArtillery_Memorial_Driver.jpg
