Illustrations from “Britain’s Modern Army”
These illustrations are from a book my father had and one I poured over as a boy. Someone ( apology I can’t recall who) who leaves comments here asked I post the section attack picture. So here it is and some others-
Very useful maps to turn into a scenario. I have a similar cut through of the Maginot Line from something like Illustrated London News from 1938. Good job the Nazi government didn't have a subscription to the ILN!
I have my dad's similar title on the Navy. Still gets looked at, but at the moment inaccesable as the library is packed ready to move house. (My books take up more boxes than the rest of the house put together).

ReplyDeleteAfter CCF on Mondays I walked to my father’s office for a lift home. While I waited l had old bound copies of the ILN to enjoy, they were fascinating.
DeleteA very good resource, My copy has a similar history.
