As today was Jan’s sixth anniversary, my eldest daughter and I took the train to North Queensferry and walked to Aberdour, a walk of around ten miles.We then got the train back from there. My other two daughters were working and or away. It was a lovely walk through varied countryside with excellent views across the Forth. A positive way to spend the day.
As you say, a walk with family is a positive way to spend a difficult anniversary day.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see a Little Free Library - I see these online on Facebook mostly in America. We have a 'redundant red phone box' book swap equivalent in our area, often with a defibrillator as well.
I think it was. We were delighted to see the free library, such a great idea.

DeleteGood to get in the Ten Mile tour Alan- my walking is from the House to my Shed and that is about it...we can only journey 5km from Home because of Lock Down...hoping restrictions will ease before Christmas. Cheers. KEV.

ReplyDeleteDon't think I could manage a 10 mile walk these days, got stuck the other day and had to get a daughter to rescue me after about a mile walk.
Should be OK for Carronade though.

ReplyDeleteI did part of that walk myself last week (Dalgety Bay to Aberdour and back) and much admired the book box, but mostly the old ruined kirk.. what a stunning place for a church...
