The beech hedge is at that exciting stage where it greens up. It does not do this uniformly but little by little , each plant taking its own time. The beans we sowed have germinated and others seeds too. Rain and sun combine to drag the sleeping garden forward. Finally a random poster I saw on Facebook by John Howe ( the very best of Tolkien artists btw imho) for an event. The poster creates a snapshot of a fantasy world not so different from our own.
Yes everything - including weeds are sprouting in the garden .
ReplyDeleteThe weeds AND slugs! Can’t believe the thuggish thistles that appeared in a line of seeding this week. Rain then sun works on everything!
ReplyDeleteA nice time of year to be sure. Here in the Antipodes, we are of course on the other end of the cycle ....a beautiful crisp Autumn morning here as I type, with a cool seven degrees at the moment...0735 Sun the eighth.
