Another foray into the past that never was…
Table set for today’s Very British Civil war game. Cast - the King, emboldened villagers, liturgical Swedes and leftist Liverpudlians. A heady brew ( of tea) to see November out. As ever we will use “ Went the Day well?” Rules.
I have the rules from when I took an interest in BCW some years ago. I must dig them out and have a read. I did paint some 28mm figures which must be hiding somewhere, some fascists, regular infantry and civies with adhoc equipment. Probably enough to do a game, perhaps with some Bolsheviks who have made their way over from the Back of Beyond.
It is a fun period, l even ended up writing for one of the guidebooks about my creation - The League of St Andrew. The game plays really well indeed with the rules, four sections aside and a light mortar. HMGS we rarely use as they are lethal. Alan Tradgardland
