Fascinating article, adding to the ones Bob Cordery featured many posts ago. I think Stuart Asquith the writer / editor does a grand job in developing or suggesting how this total immersion in a garden and ImagInations and campaigns could be extended into other areas of tabletop gaming. Thank you for sharing. A whole year in the garden for troops? I feel bad leaving my three man plastic patrols out for weeks or months
I did a little searching in my database of wargaming maagzine articles (https://snv-ttm.blogspot.com/p/wargames-magazine-database.html), and John Ruddle's garden does not only appear in Practical Wargamer Nov/Dec 1990, but also In Wargames World 1 (1988)
I just checked (I have Wargames World as a pdf), I can send you an email with the article - it has some more colour photographs compared to the article in Practical Wargamer. I don;t seem to have your email, so let me know ...
