It has been a bad time with the persistent harrying of the Black Dog. I feel however that l am moving forward. Little to no productive hobby work has been done but l have managed to do the things that needed to be done in real life mostly and mostly offered the support that was needed too. A new month on Thursday and a new season.
Today is the eighth anniversary of Jan’s death. I am posting a picture of us in Copenhagen, having walked up the ramp within a tower ( https://www.rundetaarn.dk/en/front-page/ ) to look over the city.
What an amazing tower - I followed the link to their website to read more about it.
ReplyDeleteI’m not surprised that it has been a difficult week with such an important anniversary looming. I hope you feel some relief once it has past. Hobby stuff can wait ... A new month / season awaits and hopefully the Black Dog on a very long leash far far away.
Good to read that things are moving forward again Alan - best wishes to you and your daughters

Take care Allan. Phil
ReplyDeleteAn interesting link to the tower. I thought had Tycho Brahe had worked therebut I see it wasn't built till after his death. And it's only still standing because we missed it during the bombardment! Copenhagen is somewhere I've long meant to visit, really must do so. Do take care at this very sad time. Brian
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself Alan , all the best wishes , Tony
ReplyDeleteMine and Frans thoughts are with you Alan, see you on Saturday at the VWC.

ReplyDeleteSupport and prayers. I read your blog and while I don't comment often, I feel for you and hope you soon gain the upper hand.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to you and your family Alan.

1. William Wordsworth, ‘September, 1819’.
ReplyDeleteDeparting summer hath assumed
An aspect tenderly illumed,
The gentlest look of spring;
That calls from yonder leafy shade
Unfaded, yet prepared to fade,
A timely carolling.
No faint and hesitating trill,
Such tribute as to winter chill
The lonely redbreast pays!
Clear, loud, and lively is the din,
From social warblers gathering in
Their harvest of sweet lays …
A good month September, all the best Richard
