Sixty five not out

Thursday saw my 65th Birthday. Sixty four was fun being a “ Beatles “ or “Zoo Lane “ one but Sixty five seemed more serious in a way.

The weather was sunny and warm so l headed over to Edinburgh for a wander-

An early morning gift found on rising , a new lamp for my room.
An interesting free library and the shadow of the photographer.
Walking down the steps towards Stockbridge with Fettes in the background.
Excellent signage at the Botanics.
I sat out for lunch and to read it was lovely.
My first sight of the damage caused by the storm.
Further shots of storm damage above and below.
When in town l met my daughters after their work and they took me out for a meal, which was fun.

The following day would have been Jan’s 63rd birthday. A day for us all to remember her and the good times together.

  11. Happy birthday. Looked like a good day out in Auld Reekie and nice to round it off with a family meal at the end of the day. I have another 3 years and a few months till I get to the magic number.

  12. Happy birthday! Looks like it was a lovely one, with a nice walk (too bad about that big old tree though), a nice gift, and a wonderful time with your daughters. Nice to remember the good times with your wife, too.

I've got a few years on you. Amazing to think I'll be 69 later this year. (in fact, I have to double check whenever I think of it or mention it. Wait, 69? Really? ha ha)
