Week 2

Inspite of horrendous rain , flash flooding and vile weather l have had a useful week outdoors. The Test yesterday accompanied what little hobby stuff l have felt like doing.
Portharthur is beginning to take shape on the PLR. A new station and costal village.
The signage has been waiting a fair while.
Having a look , a weed and a sorting out of the area.
A mature hydrangea after establishing in her new home.
Moving the heavy planter by hauling along some wood. It was awfully heavy! A task with daughter number two.
I have added soil to the wee rockery to give it a bigger footprint and greater height.
Beer traps were laid successfully last night . Will repeat regularly now..

  1. The slugs will die happy. It might also work for enemy troops.

  2. How much beer have you caught so far?
Looks like things are shaping up nicely in the garden/rockery and on the railroad.

  3. Ah, Port Arthur … Home of Arthurian legends and myths. A brilliant extension of your garden railway to have a coastal port with gravel or sand beach (‘porth’ , blue slate sea, fishing boats, old salty sea dogs and navy crew, children bathing … maybe a small lighthouse … coastal plants like thrift. It works as some of the coastal halts were very very basic …

Alternatively Port Arthur will be fought over in Cornwall by very lost Russians and Japanese c. 1905
