Unboxing John Ruddle garden gaming figures

Recently thanks to Tommy Atkins l got a chance to buy some of the late John Ruddle’s garden gaming figures. The auction stuff had gone but I am delighted to have had a chance to buy some of the remaining figures at a very reasonable price. I was sent this video of what was left-

These are what l chose-

I think these are guns off his ships or costal artillery. Fascinating to see how he converted and utilised Britains guns- ACW and classic Little Wars one.

Delighted to give these a home an£ hopefully a chance to fight on…

  2. Tradgardmastare,

What a wonderful purchase … and the gun conversions were particularly interesting.

John Ruddle seemed to be able to take basic figures and models and turn them into something incredible. They were robust enough to withstand quite heavy handling and yet never seemed to lose the detail that set them apart.

    I am very envious!

    All the best,

    Bob
