End of game and starting another
Yesterday saw The Portable Wargame Homeguard game come to a conclusion.
I find the captions work really well and are sometimes easier for the reader than trying to click on the photo to enlarge and then click back to the text..
thanks Alan, nice report! I think 'spotting' should be crucial to 'modern' period rules - I'm sure Bob's Portable Wargame could stand having a simple spotting mechanism added.
As a child I always wanted a Lionel Tarr periscope!
ReplyDeleteWho wouldn’t? Perhaps the making of one could be a lockdown challenge?
DeleteThoroughly recommend a Periscope- a most useful item especially for WW2.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I am tempted, will have a think...
DeleteI like the idea of modified opposing die rolls for spotting.
ReplyDeleteIt has worked well for me before, It allows characters to develop along with their traits.
DeleteTradgardmastare,
ReplyDeleteA great battle report! I found it easy to follow, thanks to your captions.
All the best,
Bob

DeleteSuper photography! I like captions embedded within each photo.
ReplyDeletePhotos are taken with my iPad and then captions added. It works for me and for others who read the blog.
DeleteExcellent fun Alan. Well done. Worthy of a full report at VWC? All the best. Phil
ReplyDeleteI will do a report on my games definitely but feel the need for the dust of Stalingrad to settle...
