I set up a small game this afternoon to be played over the coming days. The Norwegians are attempting to hold the strategic hamlet of Norwegian Wood. The Swedish are advancing with orders to take the village. Unbeknown to them there are Norwegian ski troops and armed civilians in the area along with regular forces.
nicely setup winter table
ReplyDeleteThanks Tidders, can’t go wrong with felt and a model railway backdrop.
DeleteInteresting setup. Which rules are you going to use?

The Square Brigadier by Ross Macfarlane
Your table looks great with the background landscape. Have a nice Sunday evening! Karl
ReplyDeleteThanks Karl,

ReplyDeleteAlan, you never fail to surprise me with what I'm going to see on your blog. I love the background. It's brilliant.
Eric
Delighted to surprise you Eric. As I was saying to Tidders a railway modelling backdrop really sets the scene easily and effectively. A few foam pieces under the cloth gives three dimensionality to things. I will see how the Square Brigadier works for this period, well I imagine.
DeleteThis works so well with the snowy backdrop.
ReplyDeleteSo simple , so effective and transforming to the table with minimum fuss. Only took a few minutes to put the winter backdrop in front of the usual one, secure it under the mat and add the cloth. In 2021 I must see what other backdrops are out there...
DeleteBrrrrr looks cold! Good, but cold.
ReplyDeleteIt does, nearest we get to proper snow in these parts these days mostly.
DeleteWintery looking scenes!
