DBV

Yesterday saw a dark age game being played here with the DBV skirmish rules. We have been tweaking them for some considerable time now and on the whole they serve us well . However we haven’t used them for sometime and we had forgotten them. A few turns , a false start or two and we were back on track! I umpired allowing P and G to play. Here are a couple of photos-

Round house and wattle fencing kindly donated by Tidders, many thanks. An enjoyable game once we had played ourselves in at the wicket.

  1. Good to see you getting in a game. Your last sentence must be a reference to cricket but what does it mean?

    1. It means becoming confident through spending some time doing something l guess. Getting acclimatised or accustomed to something.

  2. Great looking game, and I like the roundhouse. Btw, a couple of YouTube channels you may be interested in , or your may follow already. Allan Barton The Antiquary, and The Jolly Reiver. Both completely absorbing.

    1. Thanks. Still unable to comment on your blog, the Sherwood stuff looks great btw. I know Allan Barton’s work already and will look up the other suggested one.
