Giant tree ferns at Penedredfel and diverse matters

The giant tree ferns at Penedredfel have survived the winter. A railway man checks them out.

Two Pound @ The Works, Trinket box to 1/32 pillbox, work in progress.

One of my regular opponents called off yesterday due to illness at the last minute so plans were changed to a TYW board game. Danes v Imperialist. As Tilly I managed to lose very badly . Bright musket rubbish dice as he might have said. However it was an interesting and enjoyable game and we look forward to the next go with additional rules to try next time.

Cave goblins 90% finished, a wee tweak or two to do. I am pleased with the results.

  2. This was a very interesting basis for a pillbox conversion. It looks like the slits will sit just right above or right under where the lid hits the box. Many pillboxes in Norway had vegetation covering the roof, which I think will look interesting in models as it break ut an else very uniform look.

    1. Interesting re Norwegian pillboxes . I need to do a little more research to see how to finish mine. I want to use in with my 1919 Austrians and Hungarians, WW1 Italians and 1940 home guard.

  4. Many Home Guard pillboxes were well hidden, painted disruptive camo, earth topped or built into other structures / landscape features …
