It was super to see the City getting behind the Team when I was out and about yesterday-
Merch vendors on the high street.Shops have decorated their windows.
A display in the shopping centre of items associated with the team past and present.
The local paper has got in on the act too. I wish The Pars all the best for tomorrow and hope anyone attending the match has a grand day out.
Meanwhile on the lead mountain-
I looked out what remains of the goblin/orc kickstarter l backer ages ago . It was from Colon Patten at Ragnarok miniatures. I opted for a mixed bag of assorted goblins.I found what I was looking for and extracted the ones l was after- cave goblin types, unarmoured and primitively attired and arrayed. I decided to try the brush bristles technique to make their primitive javelins. I was surprised how well it worked and how easy it was to make a flat point with pliers.
Here they are on the painting desk awaiting more work. The desk is currently messy even by my own standards!

I like those Goblins. I have lots of the Saxon versions and wish he would do similar looking wolf riders
ReplyDeleteWolf riders would be excellent!

Nice figures Alan
ReplyDeleteWhen the mess reaches the edge of the desk you know it's time to clear up!
Thanks and indeed😂

DeleteAlan I see you finally "embraced the broom"!☺
ReplyDeleteNo way back now!☺☺☺☺

It is such a good idea. I will be lurking in hardware shops from now on scrutinising bristles until l am thrown out.

I have never tried the bristle trick. I might do so next time something suitable needs a spear. Its very difficult to flatten the heads on metal rod I find.
ReplyDeleteWorth a go. The bristles flatten so easily with pliers and no impaling of fingers either!

Up the Pars!
ReplyDeleteIndeed🎉🎉🎉

As a Hearts fan I will be cheering on the Pars!! The Ragnarok figures are great, I have a bag of Goblins in the pile of shame that I must do something with!!
ReplyDeleteThe goblins are easy to paint, at least the cave ones were l painted yesterday. I used to have a season ticket for Tynecastle in the early eighties. It was the best of times and the worst of times.
