ECW thoughts

I really enjoyed Andy Copestake's recent article on ECW gaming in the wargames press. It was filled with common sense and good ideas not to mention period knowledge. Thanks Andy. I have had a look at the rules I got the other day and I am still swithering.I had a look on the computer and found my old school ecw gaming posts from July 2011 (nearly five years ago - I can't believe it) here-

I also came across this scan of an article by Brigadier Peter Young-

What an interesting organisation for the tabletop. I am swithering again.

Saturday morning earlyish

Saturday morning and after coffee I popped outside to the garden to build my cane and twine towers. They are for the beans and peas to ascend. Here is a picture-

After the plants were put in the ground I had some time to have a look at some new ECW rules that arrived yesterday-

Anyone tried them?

Kickstarter arrives

Today on my arrival home from work I was met by a parcel- my TAG renaissance dwarves-

I hope to get these undercoated etc at the weekend. I also got some freebies/extras-

A couple of  lovely wizards and a seasonal fellow on the far right of the picture.

Later Spring

Tired and a tad melancholic today. I took photos of the garden-

And these-

Some new recruits purchased from Phil Olley.

My reading today-

Looking forward to week of Chelsea on the BBC starting today but it will be rather bittersweet this year.

Games and Scenery

Useful wargames scenery bought at Aldi today along with a honeysuckle for garden. We enjoyed playing this pm today-
