The Duke of Tradgardland's Janissary Guard have assembled early this morning- the 6th of March.Amidst yawns and the adjusting of ill fitting and bizarre uniforms they have paraded to celebrate the Duke's 55th birthday...
I am blessed with a wonderful wife and family, great friends and a splendid new job ( where I shall be dressed as Mr Toad today to celebrate World book Day)- what better way to enter my 55th year, with the weekend and celebrations to come...
In my local 2nd hand toy emporium there are a few semi round soldiers. A number of them are WW2, a few are Grenadiers judging by the hats, and a further few are on horseback wearing tricornes. I saw them and wondered if they may be of interest to you?
ReplyDeleteThe 2nd hand toyshop owner said £2 each but he'd do a deal on all of them and they have been there a fair while. Are they of interest?
Tradgardmastare,
ReplyDeleteHave a great birthday! I hope that there will be lots of celebrating taking place in Tradgardland, and that the wine will flow like water and the cakes will come in all colours, flavours, and sizes.
All the best,
Bob
I can't think of a better way and hope its a precursor of the year ahead.
ReplyDeleteJust be careful on the road in your motorcar Toad,
Many happy returns of the day , Tony
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday from myself... and from the Elector of Saxe-Freedonia, Rufus I Glowürmchen!
