I basically fancy doing some games based around invasions of earth in the nineteenth century. Today whilst in the shed using the tumble drier l went searching for these . I have had them for ages but done nought with them. So after a few boxes moved and lifted here they are-
I love these TimMee sets! Excellent choice for aliens and retro sci-fi gaming generally. I remember having the turtle/lobster alien when I was a kid. That figure is one of those that sends me back to my childhood on sight.
ReplyDeleteI only knew of them as an adult and only from a few years ago as that. Someone at this forum kindly brought them to our attention.
DeleteI look forward to the painted versions. It would have been good if Tim Mee did a figure with the 'pixie' helmet and a rifle instead of a pistol. My favorite non human is the apish looking alien with antennae and ray gun rifle.
ReplyDeleteI agree re the non human ones. Currently painting but messed up the preparation process so starting again.
DeleteOh, those look fun, and as John Y said, just the ticket for retro sci-fi!
ReplyDeleteThe Dan Dare pistoleer is coming up a treat.
DeleteThis is going to be awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks, we shall see…

Thanks for the handful of these TimMee figures you sent a year or two back, some already painted and ready for action in a garden far far away (spring or summer) ...
I enjoyed your post you sent the link for. The Airfix ones are fascinating. I have resisted the Irregular Miniatures retro sf fig so far but they are very tempting…
DeleteFor inspiration (apart from the various incarnation of Battlestar Galactica ) Disney have the underrated The Black Hole but also all the whole Star Wars films, spin offs and animated series including the wildwest inspired Mandalorian / new Fett series.
ReplyDeleteDisney's The Orville is an interesting 2020 reboot of a Star Trek like series, complete with domestic dramas between staff! It gets far better into series 2 ..
Good suggestions, I really must get round to the Mandalorian…
DeleteI have a Dan Dare reprint book which is so inventive and colourful that I often come back to it.
Just right for some sci-fi action
ReplyDeleteHope to see some in Wittenberg, stumbled upon in a forest by woodsmen jaegers…
