Spring

The beech hedge is at that exciting stage where it greens up. It does not do this uniformly but little by little , each plant taking its own time. The beans we sowed have germinated and others seeds too. Rain and sun combine to drag the sleeping garden forward. Finally a random poster I saw on Facebook by John Howe ( the very best of Tolkien artists btw imho) for an event. The poster creates a snapshot of a fantasy world not so different from our own.

  2. The weeds AND slugs! Can’t believe the thuggish thistles that appeared in a line of seeding this week. Rain then sun works on everything!

  3. A nice time of year to be sure. Here in the Antipodes, we are of course on the other end of the cycle ....a beautiful crisp Autumn morning here as I type, with a cool seven degrees at the moment...0735 Sun the eighth.
