Winter Warfare in the Duchy of Tradgardland: for the Mad Padre and other fans of ski troops.
Winter has come to Tradgardland. The first heavy snows have fallen covering the Duchy in a blanket. Such weather does not deter the soldiers from training. The ski troops are already moving through the forests and are encouraged by their regimental chaplain and officer. The artillery men have got their sledge mounted light gun out of store and are firing it for the first time this winter.
All figures are 40mm semi flats.

DeleteI really like the conversions, but I keep wondering what is going to happen once he fires that cannon. I notice the back of the sled is pointing toward the downhill slope.

ReplyDeleteTrue story, I took part in a winter warfare training week as a new infantry padre and got a lot of credit just for showing up. My favourite moment - spending two hours in the falling dark and blizzardy snow dragging a sled uphill after the truck couldn't get down to the range to pick us up.
