A stoater of a day

The sunne has shined here all day. The day began with a trip to the doctor to get some results. Much more positive news than I feared. I can put my recent health scare away for now, thankfully. I went off and browsed the second hand books in Abbot’s House-

I got the above. The books on sale are curated by a bookseller, I forget from where, who leaves his thoughts on the books in post it form, nice.
Later on I began work on these conversions and other an consulted a natural history equivalent of an Osprey Book-

  3. Very nice old time model railway book. I usually find more inspirations in the older trains literature than the newer one.

Nice weasels too. I got to 'study' one once, when my cat brought in her catch of the day...

    1. Shire books do loads and loads of subjects, well worth a look. My eldest’s cat brings her” presents” but thankfully no weasels yet.

Looks like a nice batch of books. Northumbrian Tinsoldier do some fun quirky minis not found elsewhere.

  7. Alan,

you seem to have a complete inability to focus on one project at a time.
This makes for wonderfully entertaining reading.
    Whatever will be next?

    1. The Napoleonic project is awaiting a few new recruits prior to getting a game set up. I saw an interesting set of portable Wargame skirmish rules on the Facebook group page being used with Burrows and Badgers figures. This enthused me to work on getting figures ready to try it, hence the weasels etc. As of last night they are almost ready , needing only basing and sealing with pva or varnish. Then l will work on the opposition- Mr Toad and chums. Also finished a Homeguard armoured car and German section. I like to work on something as the other dries.
