Mark’s Little Soldiers and Brian’s rules- a winning combination
Set up a games for the first time in ages-
Looking forward to playing it in the coming days..
A good looking scenario / tabletop, the MLS figures and aircraft, along with the simple trees and houses give this all agreat stylised charm. (how) Did the Memoir 44/34 rules work well for you in this game?
Thanks for comment. I like the look of the game. The rules are fun and gave a most enjoyable experience. I have played solo and over Zoom against the author. Each time has given a fun exciting game. Alan Tradgardland
I wasn't aware of 'Mark's Little Soldiers' but they sure looks good, classical and retro. Perfect for imagi-nations!
Such figures are made for 'old school rules' and I don't know your friend's rules, but noticed that "you can make a start and play a game with as little as 24 figures a side". That's actually a platoon sized game, and nothing I considers as "little". I'm planning a couple of squad sized games.
Thanks. The tank is an original Dinky. That boy reporter gets everywhere! He is the spitting an image of the Duke of Morava l believe- see for yourself here. http://tradgardland.blogspot.com/2022/09/a-visit-to-morava.html Alan Tradgardland
Looks interesting, where can we get the rules from?
ReplyDeleteThey were written by a friend and not commercially available.

ReplyDeleteThey are super looking figures and I love the little houses, really very nice indeed.
ReplyDeleteMLS are lovely figures. I do like the toy aesthetic of the buildings which were a net bag purchase ages ago.

Thanks for sharing!
DeleteThey are being slightly larger than 28mm, am I correct?
If so, would they be closer to '0 gauge'?
Looks interesting.
ReplyDeleteAnd fun, which is important too.!

Great looking game Alan. The figures are fabulous as are the vehicles. There's a boy reporter roaming about on your battlefield by the way

I like how Colonel Lindberg is taking a break from the Army Air Corps to help out!
