Game

This is one of my father’s game from his youth. I played it against him when l was a boy but remember nothing of it. Does anyone recognise it?

I will probably try it solo over the coming weeks…

  1. I remember the Waddington's game of the same name. It's on Amazon for £28. Some differences though it may have been to sold to them at a later date

    1. I had that and recall it being a different game entirely, maybe incorrectly.

  2. I've never seen this game or something similar to it earlier. The boar it self resembles 'Stratego' and it gives a vibe of 'Portable Wargame' with paper 'top-downs'. This is a very nice legacy after your father and it must be good memories playing it with him when you was kid.

  3. Never heard of this game before. A quick search on BGG shows this is a game from 1935. Great find!

  5. It looks like an early version of the game Bob Cordery discusses in use with his Portable Wargame.

  6. Even if you never play it's certainly a work of art worth taking out and viewing.

  7. I had the later Waddington "Campaign " which was Napoleonic themed with six "countries " ....but it was quite different to what we can see in your dad's game.
