Another station
This small halt serves the village of Pensyve and is situated just beyond the mouth of the tunnel under Plegel Gorwedh. Unusually there is no platform as a natural rock formation serves that function.
Good to see that Harry Potter reference mix with your other Cornish / Celtic / Welsh name puns.both Oliver Postgate and Dylan Thomas would be proud (whose fishing village of Llareggub famously reads differently backwards). The railway official does in fact look thoughtful or pensive at this real pebbly seaside halt. I am curious how you get your name signs made or created.
Plegel Gorwedh? gorwheda in Cornish is to recline or lie down?
I keep Under Milk Wood as well as Curious under the Stars much in mind as I am doing this. I’m afraid that the English to Cornish translator online has duped me! Accounts in local guide books tell me that station of Pensyve is just beside the railway tunnel through Fairy Hill . The Cornish language mistakes were mine l am afraid. The Station signs had made for me on eBay or Etsy at a very reasonable cost , I can’t remember by whom. Alan Tradgardland
