I was watching a news clip of Austrian Manoeuvres in 1937. I was intrigued by the headgear worn by the men ? The peaked cap and side cap on the chap by the tree interested me.Anyone tell me more?
One thought was they were “ The enemy “ in the manoeuvres but l just am not sure.

Cannot help I'm afraid Alan; it's not a typical Austrian cap.
ReplyDeleteCaps of that style were worn by airforce and navy and there's a photo from Anschluss with a man in a black uniform with similar cap and Nazi armband. Behind him are army uniformed men with similar caps (axis forum link scroll to bottom for photo).
