If you click on it you will see figures like those in the previous post.Secondly I downloaded this-
Its the BBC dramatisation from the late 1960s of the Hobbit.I started listening to it when ironing today and it was splendid.Well worth a listen in my opinion.I have started the game and Ross's rules are working out well.
Tradgardmastare,
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting magazine cover ... and what an excellent adaptation of THE HOBBIT,
All the best,
Bob
Do you have a link to the BBC Hobbit - I remember the programme from my childhood , Tony
ReplyDeleteI bought it from itunes Tony...
DeleteI enjoyed the Hobbit, but the strange (to me at least) pronunciation of GandALF and GollOOM began to grate after a while.
ReplyDeleteKnow what you mean but it still charms me.

Deletelove the poster! Spot on. I had a tape of the bbc hobbit, it was a bit hard to make out at times on the car tape player but I enjoyed it. Didn't Ian Holm play Bilbo in the bbc version?
ReplyDeleteI am the proud owner of both the Hobbit and the BBC version of the lord of the rings. The radio version of LOTR is for me the best ever production of this epic. I gave a set to my niece and nephews when they were quite young and all of them have stayed firmly in love with the saga. They all went on to read the books and all have since stated that the BBC interpretation was magnificent. Yes indeed 13 hours of unmissable radio drama.
