Saturday saw great industry in the Duchy-
A cake had been baked and iced and the above picture shows Dolly Mixtures being flattened, rolled, shaped and cut.In the end they were put on the cake to form the decoration-
The finished cake was for Jan's mother's birthday. The cake was a thing of beauty indeed!
Today I finished off and based some adventurers-
A cleric,a barbarian,three fighters, a porter and-
a lad who has found a sword (almost too heavy for him to lift) mail ( almost too heavy for him to wear) and used a cooking pot in place of a helmet!
Does anyone know who makes/made this figure-I found him in a sale box at a wargames show?
They are off in search of a cooperative wizard to join them...
I have seen something similar sold on eBay as Perkin Welbeck, I hope that helps.
ReplyDeleteImpressive cake, and very nice figures....that porter or overladen adventurer is a classic. Hope the day went well.
ReplyDeleteIt was a Partizan show figure, some young English King (Edward ?).
ReplyDeleteOh that cake looks scrummy ! , Tony
ReplyDeleteThe cake does look good, as do the figures. The young chap looks like he's to hunt the Jabberwock.
ReplyDeleteTradgardmastare,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great bit of cake decorating ... and some very nice figures as well.
All the best,
Bob
I rather like that young fella. Is that a vorpal sword?
ReplyDeleteVery nice cake. And a likely (or unlikely?) group of adventurers. One almost expects the porter to be banging 2 halves of coconuts together...
ReplyDeleteYou can't go wrong with a nice cake - how very industrious of you all!
ReplyDeleteSomething special about a home grown cake- the Girls did well. Like Your Adventurers....a Battle brewing? KEV.
