Imaginations,sorry shires.

It is a dreich day in Tradgardland. I have almost survived my return to work. I returned home to an eagerly anticipated book which the post had delivered-
It's an inspiring read about a model railway based upon an imaginary shire in lowland Scotland. As I type I await a Christmas dinner cooked by my daughters and have just finished a mulled wine. Not a bad end to a vile day!

  1. Ah, the Craig and Mertonford. The inspiration, along with the Madder Valley, of so many models since. Parts of it still in existence and occassionaly seen at exhibitions.

  2. Nothing to perk up a dull day than a home-cooked meal made by loving family hands.
