Remnant of the Glory Days
Saw this signage at Exeter Railway Station whilst travelling. A remnant of the GWR glory days-
Exeter - I think there is still a fine war memorial on a platform here (5) listing GWR staff who served and died in WW1 from many long vanished stations. https://www.warmemorialsonline.org.uk/memorial/78852
Thanks Dr. Beeching for your far sightedness ... (half full empty fuel tank blues)
"Exeter" "Exeter" all change "Exeter" the station masters call from the 1980's as I travelled back and forth. Very GWR.
