The Tamar crossed
Having had a day of railway delays yesterday (single track line, fallen tree , bridge repairs and signalling ) I was glad finally to board a lovely green comfy GWR train and cross into Cornwall.
It was but yesterday, Tuesday, was torrential rain all day almost without a break. My daughter has told me of the rain in Cornwall but this is my first experience of it!
As Willz said, welcome to Devon (and the other bit !) - a lovely part of the world - have driven many a train across Brunel's bridge - 15mph but still often faster than the traffic on the road bridge !
It is indeed a lovely part of the world. Had my daughter not studied down here and stayed on I would not have had reasons to come down here. Really missed it over Lockdown.
Weather looks lovely......compared to up here!

DeleteWelcome to Devon and Cornwall Alan, you passed within 1000 yards of my house as you came through Ivybridge on the train.

Thanks Willz!
DeleteI really need to stop in the area and do it justice. One day…
