Finally taking things forward
Managed to do some gluing this afternoon. Found polystyrene cement to be much easier to use than super glue much to my surprise. It bonded quickly and didn’t stick to me. Also some planning…
No doubt about it, plastic cement is the way to go rather than super glue! Particularly nowadays, with the tiny metal pipe that allows pin point accuracy when applying the glue - so much better than when I was sticking Airfix models together with tubes of glue 40+ years ago!

ReplyDeleteIt’s great but I just can’t stop the metal pipe getting completely clogged up. Any suggestions?
DeleteTake the pipe out after use and blow down it until clear.
