Dune part 2
Went to see Dune part 2 this afternoon. What did you think of it?
I thought is was OK, but nothing more. Good special effects. I thought the Harkonnens were a bit boring. I felt the Margot Fenring / Feyd was a waste of time. And Chani going off at the end felt like we are going to get a third film.
But I really missed Alia and her exchange with the Emperor at the end of the story (and her killing the Baron).
I still prefer the SciFi TV channel version from 20 plus years ago. regards, Tom
I enjoyed it, yes there were a couple of story changes but the director has tried to stay true to the book. I believe there will be a part three where I expect Alia to come to the fore. It was beautifully filmed as well which was a huge bonus.

ReplyDeleteThanks for your thoughts. I enjoyed it too. Took a wee while to warm up but really got into its stride.
