Way through the woods

Sorted out the painting desk yesterday. My stuff had colonised the top of the piece of furniture to the left of the desk. It had become a place to store work in progress and things drying.  It looks a lot better now.

Below the desk also needed a bit of a sort.
Here is the below area a tad better.

The top of the desk is now declutterred and ready for hobby action. Ah, that’s better!

  1. That has changed things up and you look ready to tackle one of what looks like a number of tasks.
I had about 10 days without painting while I got some games played. It somehow wasn't easy to pick up the brushes again but a start has been made.

    1. It is a far nicer space to use, not to mention pleasing the family.

  3. Sometimes clearing the work area helps to clear the mind as well. Looks like a good solution to yesterdays question.

  4. It's often said tha it doesn't matter how much space you have when you start, after a couple of hours you'll be down to a clear space about 6" by 6". It's certainly very true in my experience! I find a good tidy up encourages me to make a start on a new project.

    1. I also expand outwards and fill any flat surfaces nearby…

  5. Funny how flat surfaces can attract so much stuff, eh?

  7. Your working bench looks tidier than mine, even before you started to tidy it. Looks like a nice collection of old classic toy soldiers waiting to get painted.

  8. Thanks! The old toy soldiers on the top are painted on the whole. I enjoy collecting broken and abandoned ones and getting them table ready.
