I too was reminded of that subtle Birnam Wood camouflage trick; the same evening or early next morning, the Jacobites could have done the same trick, approached the town and defeated the drunken Hessians. ‘Cry Wolf’ and all that …
Ah Dunkeld, not so quiet those years before when the Cameronians held it against the odds, only for so many of them to fall at Steinkirke [other spellings are available]. I have the Cameronians but no Hessians. Dunkeld's a lovely place to visit. Stephen
Thanks for this, Alan. My Hessians continue to assemble also but. I suspect, even more slowly than Eric's at least as far as painting is concerned. And I must get an order for the outstanding figures off to F&D.

If I did that in a wargame I suspect there'd be a certain amount of unhappiness from the players.
