A very windy and blowy day here in the Duchy. I have begun to think about rules for Avalon Bleeding-
The Pikeman’s Lament comes to mind first as it will effectively be ECW with certain additions. The Pike and Shot categories would work well and I feel the wild Faerie swordsmen could work as clansmen. Not quite sure how to include the Trolls and forthcoming Giants?
Dragon Rampant would be an easier option but lacks a pike&shot period feel. All categories could be covered and magic too but not sure...
Any thoughts on rules folks?
Could you borrow some of the fantasy ideas from Dragon Rampant and incorporate them into Pikeman's Lament? For giants maybe you could make one giant the equivalent of a full unit of smaller species (in Dragon Rampant one of the lists has a single giant counting as a unit of elite foot, for example). I have both rule books but I haven't delved into either enough to see if rules from one could mix well with the rules from the other.
