I’ve had some of these figures since twenty or more years into last century and some are new recruits last year. A whiff of enthusiasm coupled with a gaming suggestion led me to start these yesterday. Sometimes to be honest I am put off rather than encouraged or inspired when I see the Napoleonic masterly painting of others. This is an unhelpful trait in me I need to work on…
Going from yesterday's Misty Mtn Hop, to a possible Stairway to ... Despair... or Inspiration? Napoleonics is certainly a Battle for Evermore! Best regards

Excellent musical comment Phil. I don’t think I’m on the road to nowhere but with so many painted figures perhaps I’m the man on the silver mountain?
DeleteLooks like some Swedes or perhaps Norwegians.
ReplyDeleteDanes Jim but not as we know them.
DeleteBringing home the bacon.
DeleteSo far so good.
ReplyDeleteIt the next bit that’s the problem:)
DeleteI think I find more inspiration than discouragement in other people's painting skills...but only just! I am happy enough with what I produce when I take the time to make a real effort...but there are always people who can do it better!
ReplyDeleteI do most of the time but have a WAH every now and then.
DeleteAre they Excise men by any chance? A bit of Cornish smuggling action?
ReplyDeleteDanish Landevaern figures ready to defend their country against British invaders in 1807.
DeletePersonally I'm content to do my own thing to my own standards but certainly the heights that others achieve discourage me from displaying my figures.

I know what you mean but at times a wee panic happens, I dust myself off and get on with it once more…
DeleteSilver Bayonet?
ReplyDeleteA variety of uses for skirmish games and maybe bigger ones too depending how well it all proceeds…
