Makers mark
Some of the Chinese have these stickers on them. Can anyone tell me about the company I can’t seem to find any info on it.
Great Britain and the Empire, also know as GBE Toy Soldiers, was a range of white metal toy soldiers made by Andrew Humphries of Coningsby in Lincolnshire UK. The firm was founded in 1982 and produced over 600 different figures, mostly based on the British Army of 1890 - 1914.
GBE have only recently taken down their website. GBE are in the Stuart Asquith book Collectors Guide to New Toy Soldiers 1991 Andrew Humphries began with repair of damaged figures, "being known as the Tom Keating of old toy soldiers" until he started making them himself in 1982. They were also sold in a variety of prestige items Chelsea Hospital, Tower of London, Hamleys, etc
