Needing to work out the best way to store the Chinese, any suggestions welcome. Doing some reading too. The Osprey is a good introduction and the Ian Heath an excellent source of information. I have three others in the Foundry Book series and they are all well worth getting hold of. My others are on Tibet& Nepal, Burma & Indochina and Small Wars 1919 to 1939.
Useful books to have in your collection
ReplyDeleteThey are an excellent source and very useful. Osprey have done us proud for years and Ian Heath is an excellent author too.
DeleteAre the Chinese figures suitable for Boxer Rebellion games as well?
ReplyDeleteThey are indeed Phil and will serve in gaming that period too.
DeleteSome interesting reading!
ReplyDeleteStorage of 54mm - I use Really Useful boxes, 4 Litre ones, usually standing up in one compartment tray rather than having two compartment trays.
However I think you have quite a few spears and polearms, flags, etc. etc so might not be deep enough. Depends also if you want to travel with them.
The flags and spears are a wee concern, the riflemen are usefully flat and will store easily. As for travelling with them , hmm , can’t make up my mind whether I want to or not…
DeleteW.r.t. storage: indeed, make a distinction between storage and transport. Two different things. I rarely transport my figures, so I can be a bit more relaxed about possible damage due to storage.
ReplyDeleteA excellent point. Not sure what ai want to do…
DeleteThose are some big matchlocks!
ReplyDeleteThe matchlocks with the little stand at the front are fascinating aren’t they with regard to my figures in the previous post. The ones in this post are just crying out to be scratch built/ bodged by me and used on the tabletop…
