The sleepy village’ s peace is shattered by shooting, shouting and the rolling of giant cubes…
Fierce fighting in the outskirts, Von Gruber’s government highlanders try to break into the village.
The rebels are sighted on top of a small hillock, their pipes wailing malevolently!Spurring their horses forward the Georgia Rangers gallop up the Main Street of Clifton…
The men of Bagot’s Hussars ( or what is left of them ) mount up after taking heavy casualties from the dis mounted dragoons and government highlanders…Meanwhile the government cavalry advances on the right flank, ever vigilant..
The redcoats have found their enemy at last sheltering behind hedges. One redcoat unit engages in heavy hand to hand combat across the obstacle whilst the other advances through a gap towards the enemy across the field from them…
The battle is in the balance , who will emerge victorious, who will hold the field ? Will Graf Von Gruber live to fight another day or lose his life and honour in a northern town, sorry village? Will the Rebels retreat or rout? Will I run out of photos , sorry engravings, and pathetic prose? Find out in the next gripping instalment..

It all looks a bit bloody for the Government Highlanders in the first pic -I look forward to more pathetic prose in the conclusion of this action!
