Pluscarden Abbey
I’m an early riser at the best of times and while away I got up at the same time or so. Here are some early morning pictures l took-
Great pictures. I visited Pluscarden many, many years ago and we were lucky enough to attend a service with the monks singing in Latin. Quite a moving experience in a great setting. Tom
Thanks. It is indeed a moving experience. I went to their 06:15 services a couple of mornings when there, a great way to start the day. Alan Tradgardland
I was so intrigued by these photos that I had to google Pluscarden and was delighted to find that it is the only medieval monastery in Britain still in use for its original purpose. Hoping to be in your area this July, I must visit (you and the Abbey). Cheers, Michael
Looking forward to seeing you and hopefully you will get to Pluscarden. Base yourself in Inverness, there is so much to see - Loch Ness , Culloden and of course the Abbey. Alan Tradgardland
Some xcellentbpictures of a beautiful location....there are some advantages to riding early!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Rising early has always worked for me on so many fronts.
