I was rooting around the shed this week looking for something completely different and l came across these-
They are are few eBay lots l bought because they were old Minifigs ( l think) were nice old school sculpts and most importantly I found the paint job utterly charming. Here is a closer look-
So firstly can anyone identify the figures? I think they are Minifigs S range. Secondly as there are not a lot of them, relatively speaking what should l do with them? DBA , Portable Ancient Wargame or what?
Alan, I'd say work out how many figures of each type you have. What viable unit or bases does it give you?
ReplyDeleteI'd also look at Impetus style basing as you can get away with fewer figures - so 7 figures for heavy infantry, 3 LC etc.

Looking into the box, some of the figures would certainly seem to be IR or even PB range (the Arabs on camels with the big swords). Looking at the combination of figures, maybe Eastern Roman/Palmyran army?

I have to ask, just how big is this shed of yours? You always seem to be pulling out something interesting and fun.
ReplyDeleteHas the footprint of a single garage , probably slightly smaller. I forget what I have, it can be great fun stumbling upon things but also frustrating when you can’t locate what you want…
